While on Safari, former President Theodore Roosevelt discovered that his chosen successor, Republican President Taft was undoing many of his reforms.  In this program, we will explore Roosevelt’s return to the United States and his decision to run against his friend William Taft as the Republican candidate and his movement to the Progressive “Bull Moose” party. We will explore the three-way race and the outcome that resulted in a dramatic change in the roll and power of the Presidency today.
