Hibbing Community College is once again pleased to offer our College for Kids summer program.  The program is available to children between the ages of 7 – 12.  We put together a mix of fun exciting classes that we hope will surprise our returning students, and interest new ones; there is something for everyone!
Dates & Times:  College For Kids 2019 will be held the week of July 22nd – July 26th 2019, Monday through Friday.  All classes will be held at Hibbing Community College. Classes will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m. daily. Child pick up will be from 3:00 to 3:15 p.m. in the College commons area. When checking your child in on Monday morning please indicate who has permission to pick up the kids. At pick-up time, the adults will ‘check in’ at the Key Club Desk before leaving with a child. For your child’s safety, we will have only designated adults picking up children at the end of the day.

Tuition:  The cost for the entire week is $100.  Payment must accompany the registration. The tuition includes all classes, lunch and snacks for the entire week, as well as required materials.  Scholarships are available based on financial status and availability, call Heidi @ 218-262-6718 for an application. Scholarship applicants will need to pay the full tuition to register any child for classes. If a scholarship is approved, some or all of the registration fee will then be refunded. All Scholarship requests must be turned in 10 days before the start of classes.
Registration:  Each student will attend one class during each section. They will attend the same five classes each day, in the same order, for the entire week. Make sure your child is registered in the correct group. The grade listed would be the grade the child is going into in the fall. Registration will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. Registration and tuition payment is now online. Go to the HCC website: and go to the bottom of the page. Under News and Events follow the College for Kids link to the registration information.  If online registration is not possible for you, you can find registration brochures at the HCC bookstore.
It is important to list at least two (2) emergency numbers in case there is a need to reach a parent during College for Kids week. All parents/guardians will be asked to sign a Release Form for each child on the first day of classes or you may print off a copy to fill out and drop off the first day.
If you need to pick up your child early, or they arrive late any time during the week, please check in at the Key Club Desk located by the check in area. Registration begins June 17th and will go until July 19th. After July 19th, registration will be closed.
Classes fill quickly, register early!

Accessibility/Special Needs:  If you require reasonable accommodations for special needs and/or a disability, please contact Heidi Werdier in advance at (218) 262-6718 or email
