DCTC is one of only four nationally recognized American Welding Society (AWS) Accredited Test Facilities (ATF) in Minnesota. This means DCTC can officially test and qualify welders/brazers (WB) to thousands of WB processes, certifications and codes. A Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) from DCTC can help a company identify the relevant code(s) and/or create tests unique to their operations for purposes such as: •tests for employment •tests for internal advancement/verify process mastery tests to become certified to particular codes/standards •Codes/Standards DCTC may certify to include but are not limited to: •American Welding Society (AWS) •American Petroleum Institute (API) •American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) •A company-supplied or developed welding specification

Important: The class you are registering for must meet the requirements for cohort size in order for it to run.  In the event of very low enrollment and when no other resource is available, the class will be canceled or rescheduled to a later date. You will be notified through email of such change. Cancellation Policy: If you need to withdraw from a class and you notify us at least three business days (Five business days notice is needed for Transportation and Public Safety cancellations, and seven business days notice is needed for SHRM cancellations) before the class starts, you will receive a credit or refund of the course fee.  For SHRM cancellations, if you have already received your course materials, those would need to be returned (unopened) or would be reduced from the amount of your refund.   Please contact the following representatives for cancellations:

No refunds or transfers allowed if you notify us less than three business days before the class starts, five days notice needed for Transportation and Public Safety, seven days notice needed for SHRM.
Your Charge for this class will appear on your credit card statement as Minnesota State Colleges.

Campus Closures

The primary concern is with the safety of students and employees. This includes traveling conditions, safety of students and employees taking public transportation, and the colleges’ capacity to ensure parking lots and sidewalks are safe to navigate. Secondary concerns include anticipated disruptions to student learning and to planned campus events.
