Nursing Assistant Knowledge and Skills Testing
Thank you for choosing MN West as your preferred testing site! Please select a testing date below and choose add to cart. Next, click on view cart at the top of the screen and then check out. You will not be able to choose a dollar amount until you log in or create an account.  Test costs are: Knowledge $110.00 Skills $140.00, Knowledge retake $110.00, Skills retake $140.00. Cancellations must be made 2 business days prior to testing to receive a refund. Considerations for cancellation due to illness after the 2 business days cancellation time will be accepted but you must provide a doctor's note to be refunded per TMU policy. After payment has been completed please contact melinda.lamote@mnwest.edu or 507-825-6822 to finish your registration in TMU or if you have any other questions.


 
Testing FAQ
You do not need to take the Knowledge and Skills tests on the same day.
You DO need to come to campus for the Knowledge Test.
You DO need to come to campus for the Skills Test to demonstrate hands-on skills. You will receive an email details about where to go and when to arrive on campus for your assigned test time.
You must register for and pass both the Skills Test and the Virtual Knowledge Test in order to be certified and placed on the registry.
If you fail a test, you will need to register for a new test date and pay again.

Preparing for the Test
Get a free knowledge test question of the day and a 10-question online practice test at www.hdmaster.com.
You may also purchase complete practice tests that are randomly generated, based on the state test plan from www.hdmaster.com.

Download and review the Minnesota Mock Skills
Review the vocabulary words in the Minnesota candidate handbook.

Cancelation/Refund Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule, you must call 507-825-6822 or 320-564-5020 to do so at least 2 business days before your test date. No refunds will be given for those who arrive late or unprepared, miss the test, or don't contact us to cancel 2 business days in advance. We are unable to make exceptions to this policy, unless you test positive for COVID-19 and provide proof of a positive test result from a legitimate testing facility with your name and the test date on it.
