Instructors are certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and dedicated to building and improving your riding skills.

A.B.A.T.E. of Minnesota — Rider Scholarship
American Bikers for Awareness, Training, and Education (A.B.A.T.E.)
A.B.A.T.E. of Minnesota is a non‑profit motorcycle rights organization. We promote motorcycle crash prevention through motorcyclist safety awareness, training, and education. A.B.A.T.E. is currently funding a scholarship program that pays for the cost of attending rider training courses. Funds are limited and are approved based on application date and required criteria until all available scholarships have been awarded.
Why take a rider training course?
Continued motorcycle training builds good riding habits and better rider skills. Annual training refreshes your skills, maintains your riding ability, and improves your overall skill set. Invest in yourself: attend a free rider training event—and you may also earn your motorcycle permit or endorsement.
Application requirements
Be at least 15 years of age and under 21 years of age, with at least a valid driver’s license permit at the time you apply.
Have a valid Minnesota driver’s license prior to attending a course.

ATTENTION Basic Rider Course Registrants • Visit motorcyclesafety.org for permit/license fees and rider information.
• Completion of a 5-hour e-Course is REQUIRED before attending class. You'll receive instructions in the registration confirmation email once you register.
• Adults (18+) MUST have a valid Motorcycle Permit and Vehicle Driver's License prior to class to earn your motorcycle endorsement. Minors (16-17) must have a valid Vehicle Driver's License AND bring a parent or guardian to sign the required waiver formin front of a rider coach before class (or have it notarized).
To Register:Click on a class date and add it to your cart. To get your endorsement if you are over 18 ,you will need your Motorcycle Permit prior to taking class .
Confirmation: A confirmation will be sent when you register with more information about what you need for the class. E-Course completion is required prior to class.
