Power In Diversity Ambassador Applications

St. Cloud State University's 14th annual Power in Diversity Leadership Conference that will be held from January 26-28, 2023. The theme, Solidarity in Action.

  • This year is a momentous year as we shift the model slightly to return back to the basics; grassroots organizing, advocacy work and community building. Our theme, Solidarity in Action will focus on the interconnectedness and interdependence of our communities and necessity of solidarity. Conference participants will have the opportunity to develop critical skills for community organizing, learn about social justice and advance as change agents.

  • Participants will earn two digital Leadership Badges 

    • The Power in Diversity Leadership Conference Digital Badge

    • Peace and Justice Digital Badge offered by MN Peace Builders three trainings

      • Introduction to Strategies for Trauma Awareness and Resilience for Cultural Competence, Racial Healing and Equity (STAR)

      • Introduction to Restorative Justice for Community Healing and Transformation (Intro to RJ)

      • Introduction to Talking Circles for Building Community Trust and Peace (Intro to TC).

  • Conference workshops offer a variety of options for attendees to develop their activism, integrate self-care and personal reflection, and enhance community organizing skills.

  • Participants will also expand their network and connect with organizations impacting change in our communities.


Dress attire:

  • Friday we suggest professional attire for the Diversity Job and Internship Fair and Graduate School Fair activities.

  • Saturday we are encouraging students to express yourself and suggest cultural or traditional clothing or dress that fits your personality or interests.
