Prepare for a vital role in healthcare with M State’s Sterile Processing Technician Certificate program. This comprehensive, workforce-focused training is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, hands-on skills, and certification preparation needed to enter the sterile processing field and support safe surgical and clinical environments.
Through a combination of instructor-led learning and hands-on simulation experiences, participants will gain foundational competencies in infection prevention, decontamination, instrument identification and handling, sterilization processes, and quality assurance standards aligned with industry expectations. The program also prepares participants for the Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) exam through the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA).
In addition to classroom and lab-based instruction, participants will be guided through the process of completing the required 400 hours of field experience necessary for certification. Individuals currently employed in a healthcare setting are encouraged to complete these hours within their organization. For those without an established site, M State will provide guidance and support in identifying potential clinical placement opportunities.
