Join BSU's music department for the annual Madrigal Dinners, a recreation of an Elizabethan-era English yuletide feast in a renaissance castle, complete with the Royal Court, Beggars, Minstrels, Recorders, the Royal Brass and Troubadours.
The Dinners, founded by Dr. Paul Brandvik, began in 1968. They combines musical, visual, dramatic, and culinary arts into an evening that transcends time. The Royal Court is portrayed by the Bemidji Chamber Singers. The other vocal, instrumental (brass and recorders) and acting parts are filled by audition early in the Fall Semester. The Dinners have been performed in Washington, Wisconsin and in the Twin Cities. On the BSU campus they are performed the first and second weekends in December.
