The Writing Across the Curriculum Program (WAC) helps faculty in all disciplines infuse their courses with smartly designed writing assignments and effective, efficient writing instruction. Through WAC, faculty learn how to use writing to enrich courses at all levels. Benefits of WAC involvement include:

• preparing students for disciplinary and professional writing

WAC supports faculty through one-on-one consultations, faculty development programming, writing assessment projects, and a robust suite of web materials. Topics treated by WAC include designing, teaching, and assessing writing, managing the paper load, handling student error, sequencing writing tasks, using writing for inquiry and exploration, and more.
