STAR Symposium

The 2019 STAR Symposium is scheduled for Friday, February 8, 2019. The 2019 STAR Symposium celebrates excellence in teaching and learning by providing an avenue for individuals to share best practices, ideas and resources with colleagues. This virtual one-day conference will consist of presentations that focus on pedagogical approaches including delivery via face-to-face, blended, flipped and online classrooms.

The STAR Symposium focuses on topics related to quality initiatives and best practices (teaching, design, faculty support, etc.) for face-to-face, blended, and online courses and/or programs. Presentation tracks include:

  • Teaching and Learning
  • Faculty Development and Support
  • Course Design and Delivery
  • Grading Assessment and Feedback
  • Student Engagement
  • Technology Integration
  • Other Innovations…

Join us to hear from experienced professionals about topics related to faculty support, course design and delivery, assessment practices, technology integration and student engagement strategies.

This is an all-day virtual conference that is open to higher education faculty and staff.

Registration Information

Account Information

To register for the conference, you will be asked to create an account with rSchoolToday. Follow the on-screen prompts to create your account before registering for the conference. Only the items with an asterisk (*) are required. The account you create in rSchoolToday can then be used to register for other professional development offered by our sister institutions in the Minnesota State system.

Returning Guest

If you've previously registered for an event in the Minnesota State rSchoolToday instance, you may login as a returning customer. If you do not remember your username and password, click on "Forgot my username and password." You will be prompted to reset your password.

Paying with a PO

If you are paying with a purchase order, you will not register online. The institution name is Northland Community and Technical College (vendor number: 0000229183). Contact Chelsea directly to register when using a PO at chelsea.bladow@northlandcollege.edu.

Paying with a Credit Card

You will be prompted to enter your credit card information after logging in with your rSchoolToday account and accessing the Checkout screen.

Registering Multiple People 

Please be prepared to enter the following for each participant including their name, home address, phone number, unique email address and institution.
