Truck Driving

Our Truck Driving program is a customized series of courses that meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) requirements. We are currently offering Class A programs.

The Class A license is considered the “universal” CDL, providing the opportunities for driving several different types of commercial trucks and tractor trailers weighing over 10,000 pounds.
The first class of our Class A CDL program is our online Theory course. This course prepares you to take your permit exam. Your permit is required prior to any on-road training here at LSC.  The next class is the Range/Skills course. In this course you will learn how to maneuver a large combination vehicle in confined spaces, including backing skills on our driving range. Once you are proficient in the Range/Skills course, you will finish with the Road course.
