Description:
The purpose of this Train-The-Trainer course is to qualify the officer in the operation of a shotgun and then to qualify the officer as an instructor with a Shotgun. (It is recommended that the officers be certified firearms instructors before teaching any firearms class.)
Class will cover:
- Range safety
- Intro to the shotgun
- Field stripping, assembly, and maintenance
- Marksmanship fundamentals
- Ballistics
- Patterning

Bring to Class:
Each participant should be prepared to bring the following:
· Shotgun - Pump style with smooth barrel and sling
· Ammunition - 50 rounds of 8 shot
· Ammunition - 5 slugs
· Ammunition - 10 rounds of 00 buck (Not tactical loads)
· Ammunition - 10 rounds of SuperSock, Rubber Baton, or Rubber Buckshot rounds
· Handgun with Holster
· Ammunition - 100 rounds for handgun
· Magazines - 3 Handgun training magazines
· Ear protection (shooting ear muffs), eye protection (eye glasses or shooting glasses)
· Body armor
