Description:
Heartsaver courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (for example, OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. CPR covers adult, child, and infant CPR techniques and treatment of obstructed airways.
This Heartsaver course allows the participant to do part of the course online and finish the hands-on skills with an instructor. Enrolled students will receive an online access code to activate for the online portion. The student must present their certificate of completion to the instructor in order to finish the skills portion. Once both the online and skills portions are successfully completed, an electronic card will be issued via email.
Once completed with the online portion, the student must email their completion certificate to continuingeducation@lsc.edu to schedule their skills testing. Once both the online and skills portions are successfully completed, an electronic card will be issued via email.
Skills testing should take about 15 - 20 minutes on average to complete and will be held at Lake Superior College - ERTC located at 11501 Hwy 23 in Duluth, MN 55808. The online coursework MUST be completed before coming for the skills portion. You will need to bring a copy of your certificate of completion for the online portion to show the skills.
