Safety inspections are required for commercial vehicles and farm vehicles hauling placarded amounts of hazardous materials over 26,000 lbs GVW (gross vehicle weight). Training provided in this class by the Minnesota State Patrol will prepare individuals to become certified as inspectors for trucks (including farm trucks), buses, and other vehicles required to have annual safety inspections.

- County in which you will perform inspections (enter "out of state" if outside of Minnesota)
*Certification fee covers cost of the course ($200) and the cost of the Brake Chamber Tool ($45), which students will keep.
The Brake Chamber Tool helps identify an air brake chamber’s model number, from type 9 to type 36.
