Description:
The Collection System Operator course is designed to meet the requirements necessary to begin a career as a utility operator. The critical public health aspects of wastewater treatment will be discussed. The course will expose students to the overall processes required to treat wastewater in order to achieve public health goals. This will include legal concepts of Clean Water Act. The course will focus primarily on the collection system. This will include components of system, various design alternatives. The operation and maintenance requirements employed while stressing operator safety.
