The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) requires all operators of x-ray equipment in Minnesota to be certified. Potential operators must pass the limited scope examination given by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Students must be 18 years of age or older to register for this class.
The course will follow the ARRT Limited Scope Content Specifications.
Instruction will consist of radiography physics, principles of radiographic exposure, digital processing, and radiation safety. The positioning component will cover all the primary x-ray projections performed in hospitals and clinics.
This 120 hour, FULLY ONLINE course will prepare individuals for the AART examination, and will be completed in six weeks. This class is an instructor led online class. There is no specific time for you to be in class or login per day. You need to complete the work assigned by your instructor at your pace but with respect to deadline set by your instructor
