The Minnesota Motorcycle Safety Center rider training program has served Minnesota riders for more than 30 years with affordable, high-quality professional training and education. Instructors are certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and dedicated to building and improving your riding skills.
The Basic Rider Course provides motorcycle safety and operational skills taught in-classroom and on-cycle by MMSC-certified instructors. This course is for individuals looking to earn their motorcycle endorsement and learn essential motorcycle control skills. Adults (18+) must have a valid motorcycle permit, and minors (15-17) must have a valid vehicle driver's permit or license. Upon registration and payment through SCC, check your email inbox/spam folder for a registration confirmation email that contains a link to access the mandatory eCourse, which you must complete before the class start date.
The Intermediate Rider Course provides a skills refresher for newer motorcyclists, returning riders, and experienced motorcyclists who have their own motorcycle or scooter. Participants will build upon their existing skills, including control, finesse, counter steering, cornering, swerving and braking.
