Power in Diversity Leadership Conference

We are pleased to announce St. Cloud State University's 15th annual Power in Diversity Leadership Conference (PIDC) and new opportunities for participants. PIDC will be held January 25-27, 2024. Our theme, Inclusive Innovation, will center the transformational impact diversity brings to an organization’s creativity, adaptability, responsiveness, prosperity, and of-course, innovation. 

Digital Badging is a very powerful tool to display skills and competencies earned by individuals. All PIDC participants will earn a digital Leadership Badge for completion of the Power in Diversity Leadership Conference. This year’s featured badge, Interpersonal EQ, will teach participants valuable strategies and techniques to demonstrate balanced and self-aware approaches to team building and decision making that will contribute to an organization’s success, health, vibrancy and future.

Participants have the option to earn two digital badges

  1. Leadership Badge  --  free (all participants will receive)
  2. Interpersonal EQ  --  $25.00 fee and you must attend the following three sessions: 
    • You are Needed for the Long Haul: Building a Sustainable Work/Life Balance
    • The Three A’s of Successful Teamwork: Adaptability, Accountability, and Agency
    • Claiming our strengths, knowing when and how they are useful

Dress attire:

  • Friday, January 26 we suggest professional/business clothing. During the conference students can attend the Diversity Job and Internship Fair and the Graduate School Fair.
  • Saturday, January 27 is cultural flare and fun clothing. We encourage to wear traditional or cultural clothing or choose clothing that represents personal style or interests.  For example, maybe a sports fan wants to wear items supporting their favorite sports team. 

Social:
To celebrate our 15th year of PIDC the Friday night social will be, a Quinceañera theme!! Dress up (or not) but come ready to dance and celebrate, go bowling, play billiards or ping pong.

Any registrations received January 23rd or later will incur a $25.00 late registration fee.  This includes any on-site registrations.

Cancellations/Refunds

  • Fees will be refunded (less a $25 service fee) only if cancellation is received via email (register@scsutraining.com) by January 18, 2024.
  • No refunds will be given after January 18, 2024.  (If you do not attend, a refund will not be provided)
