Minnesota Comprehensive Peace Summit
The 2019 MN Peace Evaluation Summit is no ordinary summit or conference. This summit is the world's first, internal peace evaluation summit dedicated to bringing up to 1,000 people, organizations, institutions, and offices from across the State of Minnesota to ultimately create the 2019 MN Comprehensive Peace Report. This week-long Summit is split between 4 Parts and 5 specific programs depending on each attendee's selected Minnesota Peace Pillar (focus area). 
  • November 4, 2019 - Part 1 is a 1 Day Session which focuses on citizen representatives of each of the Minnesota 87 counties and 9 regions come together to develop Peace Indicators & Peace Initiatives to bring back to their communities and be presented in the MN Comprehensive Peace Report. 
  • November 6 - 8, 2019 - Part 2A is a 3 Day Session which focuses on the Negative sides of peace, namely three (3) areas meant to reduce violence and fear of violence: Militarization & Military, Safety & Security and Ongoing Conflicts ranging from the local to state level. 
  • November 6 - 8, 2019 - Part 2B is a 3 Day Session which focuses on the Positive sides of peace, namely eight (8) different areas meant to create and sustain long-term peaceful societies. These eight areas are Well-Functioning Government, Low Levels of Corruption, Sound Business Environment, Acceptance of the Rights of Others, Good Relations with Neighbors, Free Flow of Information, High-Levels of Human Capital, and Equitable Distribution of Resources.
  • November 9, 2019 (Morning) - Part 3 is a 1/2 Day Session dedicated to the Statewide Q&A Press Conference with Summit Leadership, City of St. Cloud Leadership, and St. Cloud State University Leadership.
  • November 9, 2019 (Afternoon) - Part 4 is a 1/2 Day Session dedicated to presenting statewide Minnesota Peace Stakeholders (government officials or representatives of their office, the press, the media, & those invested in Minnesota) the Reading of the Summit Reports, Presentation of the 2019 Minnesota Comprehensive Peace Report & the Closing Ceremonies.
