MSHA 3 Day/24 Hour New Miner (Click here for course offerings)
The training taught in this course is required for anyone in traditional mining operations (developing, drilling, blasting, milling, extracting, etc.) as well as maintenance and service workers who are regularly operating mining equipment. Construction workers who are exposed to the hazards of mining operations on a regular basis are also required to take this federally mandated training. This 24 hour, 3 day course is held at Hibbing Community College, Advanced MN offices, Building L - lower level. 5000-23 certificates will be issued via email within 24 hours of the end of class unless prior arrangements are made.
**An introduction to the work environment is required following the classroom training including a visit and tour of the mine. The tour is coordinated through your employer and completed by an MSHA approved instructor.
