EVOC Emergency Vehicle Operators Course

EVOC meets and exceeds the minimum standards established by the POST Board.
8 am–4 pm, 8 post credits: 1.5 hours classroom and 6.5 hours in vehicle.

Straight Line Brake.
Brake & Steer Combinations.
Serpentine.
Backing for Emergency Vehicles.
Skid Prevention & Control.
Emergency Vehicle Cornering.
Intersection Management.
Highway Response Driving.
Effectiveness of Emergency Warning Equipment.
Case Law of EVOC & Pursuit Driving.
Physiological & Psychological Aspects of Driving Code and Pursuits.
Pursuit Driving Tactics.
